Why is it that some people pack a punch in their business whilst others struggle to find clients?
How are they able to charge more for their product or service?
What is it they're doing so differently?
Well it's really quite simple. There is one magic ingredient they're using in abundance that is getting them clients, making them profitable and ensuring their business is a success.
What is it?
In one word storytelling.
I know. It sounds silly. How can telling a story do all those things?
Trust me when I say that telling a story that connects with your ideal client on an emotional level is the sauce that will spice up your business.
It doesn't matter how much time you spend making your Instagram feed look visually stunning, or your Stories looking amazing, if you can't connect with your client on an emotional level in a truly authentic way it isn't going to work.
As a human race we're nosy. Tell me you don't look in people's windows as you walk by to see what they're doing. I know I do. I...

Well, if you're anything like me then you LOVE to binge watch episodes of the Bachelor. It's one of my guilty pleasures.
I know it's sad and I can't actually believe I'm admitting that I watch it, but there is method in my madness, so stay with me.
It struck me when I was watching an episode a couple of years ago that the contestants who are desperately trying to get the attention of the Bachelor are just like so many creative entrepreneurs trying to get noticed by their dream client.
Instead of honing in on their worth and communicating that in everything they do they're trying to be something they're not in a vane attempt to be the one that is picked.
If that's you STOP RIGHT NOW.
Being successful isn't about who can shout the loudest or do the most outrageous things. Its about knowing who you are, what you stand for and how to communicate that to your dream client.
The big question really is are you a desperate...
Can you honestly tell me you know how to attract your dream client?
If you don't, don't worry you're not alone.
If you do, then all power to you, that's fantastic.
Everyday I meet creative entrepreneurs online who are completely overwhelmed and don’t know where to start when it comes to landing their dream client.
Here is the truth:
If you don't have any paying clients, you don't have a business
If you don't have anything to sell, you don't have a business
If you have a pretty website and amazing social media but no clients, you have an expensive hobby but you don't have a business
In this video you’ll learn how you can employ some of the tactics used by the 'big brands' so that your dream client practically throws money at you.

What's one thing you know you're guilty of when you work from home that is stopping you from being...
Today I have a personal story to share with you from my 11 year old self that I think might help you in your creative business.
If you're in business for long enough you're going to face challenges, you'll experience knock backs and hear the word 'no' a fair few times.
For many people that is enough to put them off and stop them from moving forward further.
They get discouraged and worse than that, they develop a real fear of failure.
The thing is though without those failures, mistakes, and things that just didn't turn out the way you wanted them to, you'll never learn or grow.
Shit happens. Its how you deal with it that counts. It's how you jump back up on the saddle and refuse to be beaten that makes the difference.
At 11 years old I was passionate, determined, motivated and above all else supremely confident in my abilities as a violinist and pianist.
Yep I was that girl in the school playground clutching my violin with socks up to my knees, a satchel, terrible dress sense and no clue...
So often in life it's the simple things that work really well. Too many times we over think things and make them more complicated than they actually are. We think everything has to have this massive strategy behind it in order to work when in reality that isn't the case at all.
Take productivity as an example. We all give ourselves a hard time because we aren't productive enough and we don't get enough done in a 24 hour period.
We all seem to be so busy all the time trying to complete multiple things at once that we can barely take time to breathe. Let alone stop and eat a healthy lunch.
Admit it. How many of you don't even leave your desk to eat?
Who believes that those who are more productive than us must have it all figured out with organisational skills to die for?
Trust me, they don't. Not really. Most of the time these super productive people apply a few very simple little things in order to get more done in less time.
Want to know what they are?
Well in today's episode of...
We all love things that make our lives easier and in the digital age we live in there are so many great tools we can use.
Like everything though it is often information overload, so I thought it might be helpful if I shared my Top Ten ‘can’t live without’ Apps that I use within my creative business on an almost daily basis.
Do you love to read as a creative entrepreneur, I know I do?
Not only do I like to step away from the computer and read an actual book, but I love to learn and this is something that should be a continuous throughout your career. It allows you to broaden your knowledge, open your mind and continue to grow.
Finding the time to do it however isn’t always easy but I love a good book, especially when it teaches me something in a fun way.
Tomorrow I am off on holiday, still can’t believe I’m actually taking a whole week off, so I thought it would be fun to share a few of the books on my bookshelf at the moment, some of which I will absolutely be taking with me.
